MSU Warns Students, Staff Of Gastrointestinal Virus On Campus - WWJ Newsradio 950

EAST LANSING (WWJ) - A virus is hitting Michigan State University's East Lansing campus.

In a memo to staff and students on Thursday, the university says a number of cases of people having nausea, vomiting and diarrhea have been reported recently.

The notice says the virus is not related to food, and runs its course in one to three days without medical attention.

It's unclear how many cases are linked to the campus community. The Ingham County Health Department is monitoring the situation.

Students with gastrointestinal symptoms can contact the Olin Health Center at 517-353-4660.
