WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI - When a red-tailed hawk in the care of wildlife rehabilitators escaped last Friday in Ypsilanti Township, its handler, Alysha Mae Albrecht, immediately thought of a way to get more eyes on the lookout for it.

Since then, a Facebook post with a photo of the juvenile raptor — classified as non-releasable because of a talon injury that makes it too difficult for him to hunt — was shared more than 470 times.
